‘Sleepy Hollow’ spoilers: Watch first eight minutes of ‘The Sin Eater’ now!
Fox realizes that they may have a little bit of trouble getting people hooked once again on “Sleepy Hollow.” Thanks to the show’s production schedule and also the World Series, there have been two straight weeks of repeats. When you are a new show, that is especially dangerous since you run the risk of losing the very audience that was difficult to build in the first place. So for the network, what better way to get you watching again than to allow you to catch the first episode minutes of the episode now?
The video below should serve as quite the worthy introduction to “The Sin Eater,” an episode that is going to carry with it some pretty heavy implications for the rest of the series. This is an hour that will allow for an opportunity to not only re-explore the origins of Ichabod Crane, but also his present relationship with Abbie and the police force, who have been generous enough to be at his side for most of his present-day missions. Also, a certain Horseman is going to be back.
But the best part about this video for now is that you can simply sit back, enjoy it, and not have to worry about a thing when it comes to the show’s future. Thanks to it getting off to a tremendous start that is really only third to “The Blacklist” and “Agents of SHIELD” (though it has equaled the latter more or less in recent weeks), Fox has already renewed the show for a 13-episode second season. That will give the writers time to craft another great story like this one, and not force them into the burden of coming up with 22 relevant stories in a year that push every cast and crew member to the brink.
“Bones” will also return to the lineup Monday, and these two shows will share the same night for two more weeks. After that, “Bones” will be replaced by another new drama in “Almost Human,” which is hoping to make quite the impact of its own.
