‘Sleepy Hollow’ episode 6 spoilers: More details on John Noble appearance

The latest -Will “Sleepy Hollow” scare up some viewers tonight? While it would have been perfect for it to air given that Halloween is just around the corner, the World Series has decided to play a trick on us rather than give us a treat with an all-new episode. Instead, we have to wait until next week in order to see “The Sin Eater,” which is definitely an ominous title and also the first new episode of the show that we have been given in two weeks.

As a quick aside before we get to the synopsis that we’re here to share, is it a mistake to have a new series take a two-week hiatus only five episodes in? We think so, but at the same time part of this is due to the show’s own production schedule. There is a lot that goes into making this show great, so they take time in post-production. (It’s thanks to this that we personally recommend that the show starts up filming a little earlier next year for season 2.)

As for the synopsis, the biggest thing to keep watch for next week is the arrival of former “Fringe” fan favorite John Noble as a character that is going to be carrying with him quite a bit of mystique. Also, we are going to continue to learn a little bit more about where Ichabod Crane really comes from:

“When Ichabod Crane goes missing, his wife, Katrina, appears to Lt. Abbie Mills in a vision warning her that the Headless Horseman will return to Sleepy Hollow by nightfall. A frantic Abbie seeks help from the mysterious Henry Parrish (guest star John Noble), who holds vital clues about how Crane can vanquish his dangerous blood tie to Headless. Meanwhile, an encounter from Crane’s past weighs heavily on him, and details about his first encounter with Katrina are revealed.”

Sound complicated? Well, it probably will be, and also hopefully awesome at the same time. Getting Noble, who can be very choosy now about the sort of jobs he takes on, has to be considered a great score, and we imagine that he would not have signed on if his role was anything short of amazing.
