‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6, episode 9 preview: The great Brooke mystery and more
Who is Brooke on “Sons of Anarchy”? That is a question that we are going to get to in just a moment, but we want to start things off here with an update on the November 10 “Sons for Sandy” relief event that Kurt Sutter and some of the show’s stars have organized back in New Jersey as a way to give back to a part of the country that so many hold very dear.
There are some tickets still available via general admission at the Brown Paper Tickets page, though the VIP tickets for a pre-reception are already sold out (and they sold very quickly). Katey Sagal, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi are going to be present along with Sutter, and in addition to getting the opportunity to watch the 10th episode of the season a little bit early, there is a Q&A with Sutter and the cast at the end. The charities involved here are the Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund and Staten Strong, an organization that Rossi helped to both set up and support.
This event, in addition to serving as a way to watch an episode with a crowd and meet some of your favorite “Sons of Anarchy” personalities, is a reminder that there are still so many out there dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. It is around this time that they are forgotten about, but still need your support.
Now, let’s get back to that subject matter in the title: The great Brooke mystery. FX chooses very carefully the images that are released to the media, and the fact that most of them are either of Charlie Hunnam, CCH Pounder, or her suggests that she could be playing a major role of sorts in the second half of the season (unless this is all some sort of trick to throw us off the scent). According to her IMDb page, Brooke will appear in the finale in addition to Tuesday’s “John 8:32.”
As for the actress playing her, Hayley McFarland has quite a bit of TV experience under her belt already with the Fox family of networks, despite being the same age as many college students. She has appeared in nearly 40 episodes of “Lie to Me,” and also guested on “24.” She has also apparently been uncredited as a musical performer in a “Criminal Minds” episode, which means that she would be great for that “Sons of Anarchy” musical episode that would never happen in a million years. (On a serious note, the show already has one of the best soundtracks out there.)
