‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Another blast from the past for Mark Harmon’s Gibbs

More news -So who is going to be coming back into the life of Agent Gibbs on “NCIS” next? Already this season, we have seen appearances from both his father and Mike Franks in some shape or form, and next up, we will be having a former love coming back onto the show for at least an episode.

According to a report from TVLine, Melinda McGraw is set to make a return visit to the show, where she will be playing the part of Diane Sterling, the ex-wife of both Mark Harmon’s character and also the ex of Agent Fornell. This is a character that has made a few appearances on the show over the years, and also stirred up plenty of trouble in the past. One of the interesting things about her is that we did not see her for a good five years, but all of a sudden, this is her third appearance on the show in the last three years.

Personally, what we want to see more than anything is how she ends up interacting with Agent McGee. The last time that we saw these two characters together, they were getting a little close and irking another man in Sterling’s life in the process. Of course, McGee now has a much more complicated personal life, as there have been some fun scenes over the past several weeks between him, Margo Harshman, and Pauley Perrette.

Given the place in which “NCIS” is in production right now, we don’t expect seeing this appearance until early next year. The show is several episodes ahead in production; after all, Emily Wickersham has been on set for a little while now in the character of Bishop, but we have yet to actually see her on the show itself. That is coming at some point soon, but the jury is still very much out on how long she will stay.

What do you think about this casting, and is there anyone else that you want to see from Gibbs’ past stop by on the show? Share your thoughts below, and click here if you want to check out some more scoop all about the Tony character.
