‘Bones’ season 9, episode 7 preview: Booth and Brennan’s ‘killer’ honeymoon

You’ve been waiting to see it, and now we all have a reason to celebrate in the first look at Booth and Brennan’s honeymoon on “Bones.” This is going to hopefully be a romantic occasion for them, however difficult that may be since not long into the romantic getaway in Argentina, Brennan decides to go back to doing what she does best: Solving murders.

The most entertaining part of the entire promo from this perspective, though, may just be that we are seeing Booth do the vast majority of his investigating while also wearing the sort of cabana hat that you only get away with wearing while on vacation. He clearly looks to be the more ridiculous of the two, which is probably also what the showrunners intended.

In case you’re worried about whether or not the other characters are going to be just completely left out in the dust here, don’t be: We will see specific roles for all of them in the proceedings, and it does not have anything to do with being honeymoon-crashers (if there is such a thing).

“Bones” is going to be using this episode ultimately to do something more than just give us a good time; it’s also propelling us into the future of the show. With us already seeing the last major event in the couple’s life that most were looking forward to, the challenge becomes how to continue to make things exciting. While we’re confident that Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan, and the rest of the team are going to be able to figure this out, we don’t envy them for being in the position that they are in at the moment. There is a lot of story left to tell this season, and after the next two weeks, the rest of it will be on Friday nights.
