‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11, episode 5 preview: Jon Cryer and assorted silliness

It begins -Dear producers of “Two and a Half Men,” we’ve gotten it for some time: Alan is a loser. He doesn’t have a job, doesn’t really have a girlfriend, and also lives in a really rich guy’s house and more or less mooches off of him to get everything that he wants.

So with all of this in mind, shouldn’t we treat at least the smallest things as a sign of growth in the right direction? We like to think so, and you are going to get an opportunity to see some of that in the sneak peek video below for Thursday’s new episode, which has a title so ridiculous in “Alan Harper, Pleasing Women Since 2003” that we can barely even stand to type. The main push of the episode, as revealed in the sneak peek below, is that Alan actually does want a relationship with Lyndsey. He wants to find a way to make this into something more here beyond just a sex-only relationship.

But will she actually give him what he wants here? The major problem with that is simply that she already has everything else that she wants courtesy of a good boyfriend … one that actually has all of the things that she is wasn’t getting from Alan, including a man with money and the means to care for her. As she puts it, the two guys each give her something that she needs.

So yeah … Lyndsey is a pretty horrible human being. But, so is Alan! When you think about that, then these two really are perfect for each other in some ways. We’ll just have to wait and see if that turns into a relationship again someday. (We’re still betting that it will happen in time.)
