‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Naya Rivera on series ending, Lady Gaga – Katy Perry episode
For anyone who follows “Glee” closely, you have likely heard the news already: The show is coming to an end after season 6. This means that there is around 40 episodes of story left to tell before the show (which was once a major phenomenon) has come to a close.
So what can you expect from the show as it says goodbye in 2015? Tears, emotion, and an ending fitting for the show, but before we come to that, there will be plenty of fun. Naya Rivera teases below to “Entertainment Tonight” that there are going to be some costumes and fun performances in the “A Katy or a Gaga” episode airing on Fox a week from Thursday, which marks the first episode to air since the Cory Monteith tribute. She also said that watching that particular episode was incredibly difficult to do, given the love and respect that so many of Cory’s fellow castmates had for him.
As for the subject of what is coming up around the bend for Rivera’s Santana, expect a ton of relationship drama. Are she and Demi Lovato’s Dani really going to work things out as a couple? Don’t count on it, given that Demi only has six appearances planned for the season it’s pretty safe to assume they aren’t going to last. Sooner or later you have to hope that Heather Morris will be back as Brittany, but we are thinking here in terms of months down the road. For now, she is just enjoying her maternity leave after welcoming her child into the world. The fact that Morris is also pretty private in comparison to the rest of the “Glee” cast makes her somewhat difficult to track down.
But until we do have some more news about Morris, hopefully getting to check out some more entertainment when it comes to Santana will suffice, given that “A Katy or a Gaga” is going to feature her being a part of an impromptu band that also includes a wild performer named Starchild, played by Adam Lambert. Unlike Demi, it has not been revealed just how many episodes Adam is going to be a part of. (It will, however, be more than just this one.)
