‘The Good Wife’ season 5, episode 5 preview: Alicia exposed, and the battle with Will wages

Everything on “The Good Wife” season 5 has really come to this: “Hitting the Fan,” an episode airing on Sunday night where the story is going to be just as crazy as you would imagine. To put the story to you this way, Alicia Florrick is going to have to try and find a way to keep her life from falling apart. As for how in the world she is going to be able to do that, this is the question that we imagine many fans asking right now.

Let’s start here with what we would consider to be the basics: The plan to leave Lockhart Gardner with Cary has been exposed, and she has to now try to figure out how to not burn a bridge with Will. Unfortunately, the problem there is that Will has already lit a match and started the blaze. He feels betrayed that she would try to do this after all of the opportunities that were created for her here, especially when you consider that she has had her fair share of distractions from the firm and in the headlines.

Should there be a sense of loyalty here? Sure, but at the same time, you also have to remember that Alicia deserves the opportunity to move forward in her own career. Also, this firm has gone through its own fair share of negative headlines as of late, and does Alicia really want to be involved in that forever?

The major battle that will be waged here in the end is going to be by and large all about one subject: Clients. You have to figure out who stays with Alicia, and who goes. Ultimately, we don’t think that this is going to be a decision made easily, and there could be all sorts of legal warfare that goes along with it.
