‘The Good Wife’ season 5, episode 4 preview: Who’s trying to hire Carrie Preston?

Carrie Preston -While the episode of “The Good Wife” airing a week from tomorrow is the one that has “massive episode” written all over it, there is still a definite reason to be excited about the one coming on CBS Sunday. Why? It has Carrie Preston! Anytime that you can book an actor who just won an Emmy for a role on your show, it has to be considered a win. Plus, Elsbeth Tascioni has become such a huge part that if “True Blood” ends this summer and this show continues, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a whole lot more of her on the show.

So why are Elsebeth’s services needed so badly? You can find that out in the sneak peek video below, but let’s just say that she is getting a request for help from some people who know quite a few things about a court of law. Of course, the way in which the request is handled is to us far more interesting / entertaining than the request itself. Not only does she seem to interested in the gig, she also seems to be very intrigued with the possibility of taking down Kalinda.

We’re excited. Preston is a great presence on the show, since she adds both a little bit of drama and a different energy than what we are accustomed getting from the gang. Plus, the producers likely realize at this point that if they are going to get Carrie, they have to get her now. Why? Thanks to “True Blood” filming starting in either December or early next year, she sadly won’t be available for too much after that.

Whatever happens in this episode will carry over to the game-changer, so even if you don’t watch live, be sure to DVR. (A note on that: You are going to want to ensure that you set your DVR’s with the knowledge that thanks to NFL football, it is probably going to be delayed. It’s that time of year again, people.)
