Doesn’t it make sense that a show all about a Naval investigative team would spend some time on the open waters? We think so, though the irony here is that in the latest “NCIS” season 11 photo that we have for you here, we have the likes of Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly actually working with the Coast Guard, and that is the real reason why they are at sea.
This photo is from an episode called “Oil and Water” that we first wrote about here, and it features Gibbs and DiNozzo working with an elite group at their fellow military branch in order to solve a complicated case. We appreciate any opportunity to shake things up a bit, just as we also appreciate that the b-story for this episode is apparently going to be all about a prankster being on the loose and causing trouble for the team.
Do you want some other news to go along with this? According to SpoilerTV, the seventh episode of the season will be titled “Better Angels,” and the eighth is called “Alibi.” Is one of these episodes going to be the official debut of Emily Wickersham and her character of Bishop? We know that it is coming up on the show pretty soon, and now it is just a question of when, and then how long she will be around after that. Given the way in which producers went about casting her, don’t be surprised if there is some sort of series regular promotion that comes in the months ahead.
For now, though, get ready for an episode on Tuesday night that is very focused on Weatherly’s Tony, and a little part of his past as we head back to Baltimore and learn what made him into the agent that he is today. You can read some more news on that very subject here, and we’ll have more as it becomes available.
