‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Tricks (and not treats) come Halloween time

More news -Were it not for the fact that we already know about Gary Glasberg and Mark Harmon trying to make an “NCIS: New Orleans” spin-off show, we would sit here and say that “NCIS” was getting together a new sort of backdoor pilot for itself with “Oil and Water.” This episode, airing on October 29, is going to feature the involvement of another team that surely has plenty of its own stories to tell over at the Coast Guard. Plus, you could use that “I’m On a Boat” song as their theme.

Instead, what may be the most noticeable thing about this hour right now is simply that we’re looking at an episode airing close to Halloween, and it appears as though there is someone who is going to be celebrating mischief night and creating all sorts of chaos among the team. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“NCIS partners with the Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS) to investigate a suspicious explosion on board an oil rig. Meanwhile, no one is safe from a mysterious prankster who is targeting the NCIS team.”

The good news here is that the lives of no one seem to be in particular jeopardy thanks to this “prankster,” who is probably just operating from the position of having a little bit of fun rather than stirring up some any serious trouble for anybody. If this is someone completely unexpected, we will die laughing and it will be enough to make us forget about the boring episode that aired a little earlier in the week.

For those curious about guest stars, Diane Neal is going to be the primary one this week in the role of a CGIS agent that will be spending more time with the characters than probably anyone else on the team.

Do you like the idea behind the episode, and also, who do you think is responsible for the random pranks? Share all of your thoughts below! This episode airs after Tuesday night takes us on a journey into the past for Michael Weatherly’s Tony. You can read some more on that courtesy of a preview here, and stay tuned for some more news.
