What’s going to happen during “Supernatural’s” next new episode on Tuesday night? While “Devil May Care” may not feature the continued story of Castiel, it will give us more insight into what Dean’s plan is now following “reviving” Sam, who has Ezekiel living inside of him for the time being without his knowledge. Somehow, this show has managed to become a more pleasant version of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” and we actually like it … at least for now.
In the video below, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s characters have quite a surprise for Kevin immediately upon his return to the show: They have Crowley in their lair. Given the oh-so important fact that he’s the King of Hell and all, this is not something that Kevin altogether signs off on, and he wants to see him gone. Unfortunately for him, it’s not going to happen anytime soon. Why is that? The Winchesters realize that there is value in Crowley, and if they can find a way to use him to hunt down demons on earth, he’s worth putting up with.
The unspoken problem with this plan is someone who we know will return at some point during this episode: Abaddon. Do Sam and Dean really want to deal with someone like her? Now that they have Crowley, and she wants to become Queen of Hell through what she basically believes to be a superior gene pool, and we don’t quite imagine that they have much choice in the matter. They will just have to take what comes and find a way to deal with it. (Easier said than done, right?)
This episode will also help to set up what are some more Men of Letters stories coming in the upcoming weeks, as Sam and Dean start to uncover a little more of the group’s past first teased in “As Time Goes By” last season. Through this, maybe they will find their way to work around their present predicament with Metatron overtaking Heaven, and with all of the angels cruising around on earth causing massive problems.
