‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15, episode 5 preview: Mariska Hargitay sees a familiar face

Law & Order: SVU logoOn next week’s all-new episode of “Law & Order: SVU,” one of the biggest challenges that Olivia Benson is going to face here is something that she probably did not think that she would be feeling anytime soon: Deja vu. Luckily, it’s not over anything that happened earlier on this season; however, it does involve something that she has worked through in the past.

This episode is entitled “Wonderland Story,” and the synopsis below makes it seem like we are going to see a woman return while under the belief that she has been raped for the second time in a couple of years. Was she really, or is there something more to the story? That is what the promo and the synopsis below are looking to tease.

First things first, just take a look at the official description from NBC to get an idea as per what is coming up:

“Sarah Walsh (Vassilieva) wakes up from a night of partying and believes she’s been raped. In shock that it could happen again, she calls Detective Benson (Hargitay), who handled her previous rape case, for help. The search for Sarah’s attacker leads the cops to a smooth-talking cyber mogul who preys on vulnerable girls and bribes them for their silence. Meanwhile, the SVU comes together to say goodbye to the retiring Sergeant Munch.”

As for the Munch storyline, get ready to be a little bit emotional. The thing about this series is that after a decade and a half on the air, almost any change is emotional. We can only imagine what it will feel like if we do ever get to the point of a series finale.
