‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: At least one Miley Cyrus cover coming (brace yourself)

The wait begins -There is no one out there in music right now more polarizing than Miley Cyrus. Some people love the boldness and the spirit in which she is bringing to her art form; others want to barf all over anyone who calls it “art” in the first place. One thing you cannot deny is that the one-time star of “Hannah Montana” is all over the charts these days. “Wrecking Ball” scored a #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “We Can’t Stop” also managed to be a top 10 single. In a world where YouTube streams count towards making yourself the biggest artist in the world, she has figured out a way to capitalize on that and then some.

So with all of that, it was only inevitable that “Glee” was going to get themselves involved in that somehow. You may have already known that the fifth episode of this season (airing on November 14) would be titled “The End of Twerk,” but how about this to go along with it: Co-creator Ryan Murphy claimed in a Twitter Q&A session this week that there will be a Miley cover coming up, as well.

While “We Can’t Stop” would surely be energetic, we can’t imagine anyone related to the show wanting to have the cast singing about “getting lines in the bathroom.” Therefore, “Wrecking Ball” is a much more likely possibility, even if no one seems to be in that damaged of a relationship right now. Regardless, expect it to be fun, and we also imagine that this is one recent music video that “Glee” is really not going to try and recreate.

If you do want to listen to some music now from the show, be prepared to switched gears and maybe cry a little: You can hear some tunes from the Cory Monteith tribute episode here. We’re going to have some more on the subject later tonight.
