‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ reunion review: Teresa Giudice drama far from over
Tonight on the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” reunion show, we were mostly reminded that just because these women may at get along on the show while we are watching doesn’t quite mean that they will be on good terms months after the fact.
This reunion show was sometime contentious, with of course the majority of the conflict stemming from situations that involved Teresa Giudice. While most of her co-stars are leaving her alone on the subject of her current legal battles, there are plenty of other troubles related to the season for them to go on and on about. Melissa Gorga and Teresa have plenty of tension still left to address, as does Jacqueline Laurita. Heck, almost everyone has had a problem with Teresa at some point.
But in the end, what this reunion really showed us above all else is that it really is time for a change in New Jersey. We know already that Caroline Manzo is planning to leave (possibly for her own spin-off show), and we imagine that one or two other ladies could go with her. Is there anything left in the Jacqueline / Melissa story to tell? They are just going to keep fighting, and if Teresa stays out of prison, seeing what she does with a new lease on life is more interesting than any sort of family fighting. Then again, it would be interesting to see Melissa or Kathy without a season of Teresa. Maybe Andy Cohen will find a new housewife that is not linked to some of these other people for a change, and it could bring a new bit of excitement to the series.
