‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Tinker Bell vs. the Evil Queen

Following tonight’s rather ho-hum “Once Upon a Time” episode, we feel that this is the time when the show really needed some sort of shot in the arm. Luckily, it feels like we are going to have that courtesy of next week’s new episode. This is an hour that will feature Rose McIver as Tinker Bell, who you know rather well as one of the most famous “Peter Pan” characters out there. Just to make matters all the more interesting, she also happens to be someone who knows some of these characters on the show already.

Let’s start with the basics: The title for the hour is “Quite a Common Fairy,” and that alone should be a dead giveaway that we are going to be seeing a lot of Tinker Bell. First of all, take a look at the synopsis below to get a few details about just what is coming up:

“Where there’s Peter Pan, there must be Tinkerbell. But in this Neverland, what first seems like magic, always reveals a dark side.”

It is that dark side that does excite us somewhat, since in the promo below it looks like she and Regina are going to have some pretty intense battles with each other for a variety of reasons. The two aren’t going to get along very well (do many people really get along with an evil Queen?), and there will be a reason for that. Also, you have to remember that Tinker Bell was always loyal to Peter Pan, and who is to say that this is going to change now just because this Pan is a little bit darker? Tinker Bell has always been a character with a mischievous/jealous side to her, and we hope that the masterminds behind “Once Upon a Time” decide to keep some of these aspects in order to shake up the show.
