With “Hart of Dixie’s” season 3 premiere just two short days away, now is the time to really start getting yourself pumped up for a return to Bluebell. One of the simple joys of this show is that it brings us something a little different. This is not the run-of-the-mill series that tends to get all mucked up in drama or terribly tragic events. It’s the closest thing to a romantic comedy on TV that there is, and it’s fun. Sometimes, you’re not looking to watch a show to be profoundly moved by any one thing; you’re watching to smile and talk about character relationships with your friends.
But for some of you who are major shippers of the Zoe / George relationship, we have a feeling that this is going to be a difficult season for you to stomach at first. As for the reason for that, well George is going to be completely off of her radar for a good bit.
But none of this means that the days of Zoe and George as a possible couple are over. With this show having 22 episodes coming up, and with the chances of a season 4 renewal high for that little golden ticket known as syndication, Scott Porter told the following to TVLine that there are plenty of opportunities ahead:
“The game of those two going back and forth without actually giving it a go is over. The next time we tread into that territory, it’s time for them to actually go public. ‘Let’s give this a real shot.’ But the timing has to be right, [and it] has not been right yet.”
With this being “Hart of Dixie” premiere weekend (or at least the weekend before the premiere), we’ve compiled a list of fun links to get you excited. Here’s a look at just some of the highlights.
1. Some more news about why Zoe is not going to be with George or Wade at the start of the season.
2. Cress Williams speaking on the struggles for Lavon this year.
3. Rachel Bilson speaking out about anything and everything this season.
