‘Supernatural’ season 9: See Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard’s fun new teasers

Once again, take a bow, marketing department of The CW. Is this the best promotional campaign that “Supernatural” has ever had to this point? While some shows debuting on this coming week (in particular the new ones) don’t have a lot going for them when it comes to buzz, the network has actually done a pretty fantastic job at getting us hyped up for what could be coming up on this particular drama series … not that we needed to be hyped since we are already excited.

These new teasers from the network featuring not only Jensen Ackles (Dean), Misha Collins (Castiel), and Mark Sheppard (Crowley), also feature a quick little glimpse of the upcoming season. For example, Crowley is stuffed in a trunk, and Collins’ has Castiel hilariously trying to use some of his angel powers when there are none to be had on some frightening man at a pay phone, which is probably a move that he is going to end up regretting since he also now lacks the power to escape.

As for a couple of other little notes here….

1. This is the same background that the series has used for all of their sneak peeks over the past couple of weeks, which means that the actors went in and filmed these all over the course of a day.

2. Isn’t there something rather delightful in the way that Crowley speaks while hyping the show? He is probably the guy we would most want around a campfire telling ghost stories.

3. Collins, meanwhile, probably needs a lozenge every day after he finishes saying all of Castiel lines.
