‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Fast cars, explosions galore in ‘Omni’

Do you enjoy watching things go “boom”? If so, then the new “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode airing on CBS is going to be right up your alley. On the surface, this really feels like something that almost every fan will enjoy: There’s a case involving fast cars, explosions, and almost everything else that gives the show that summer-movie feel that draws so many people in on a weekly basis. However, there is also going to be a little bit of drama … namely what happens when Deeks has even more problems when it comes to his recovery from what happened earlier this season.

This episode is simply entitled “Omni,” and the synopsis below gives you a little bit of insight into what you don’t actually see in the episode itself:

“The NCIS: LA team must find who compromised a classified vaccine project from a bio tech company. Meanwhile, Deeks struggles with his emotions upon returning to the field.”

The more we see about this season, the more it is starting to become clear that the show is really going to focus almost relentlessly at times on the recovery that Deeks is currently working on, and also what could be happening with him and Kensi. It’s a little interesting just how centered this show has become around him in many ways, and he gets to take on some more of the more complex storylines.
