‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15 spoilers: Mariska Hargitay calls premiere hardest one yet
There is a mountain of television premiering on Wednesday night, but one show that you should definitely have on your radar right now is “Law & Order: SVU.” The NBC smash (and one of the longest-running dramas of its kind) is going to have an epic two-hour premiere tonight in which some of the questions fans want to know are answered, including whether or not Olivia Benson is going to find herself freed of a pretty awful situation where is beaten, battered, and in a similar position as many of the people she saves have been in.
Speaking about this premiere on “The Today Show,” Mariska Hargitay did not hold anything back in saying that despite the lengthy catalog of work that she has with this franchise, the premiere still contained a good bit of the most-challenging material she has taken on yet:
“It was, without a doubt, the most difficult episode I ever shot in 15 years, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever done. I have to tell you, after 15 years, to be nervous and scared and excited to go to work — it’s a pretty great thing.
“When you’re acting, your body doesn’t know the difference (between) acting or being in reality.”
Also in the video, Hargitay explains that she still wants to definitely do a little bit of comedy at this point after all she has done on the “Law & Order” franchise, which of course leads us to suggest the following: Why not a “Michael J. Fox Show” appearance? Both series film in New York, air on NBC, and it seems like the perfect tie-in since Fox’s character even works for an NBC station.
