‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 2 preview: How does Deeks move forward?

After what transpired during Tuesday night’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 5 premiere, the show is going to be flash-forwarding a good few months to take a look at the aftermath to the torturous situation. Unfortunately, recovery is not going to come easy in particular for one character.

The second episode of this season is entitled “Impact,” and that name seems to make sense given that what transpired during the premiere is going to have a huge impact on anyone and everyone. Want more proof? Then just read the full synopsis below revealing that Deeks is going to be in a desperate situation:

“In an effort to help Sam and Deeks return to work, Hetty calls upon Operational Psychologist Nate Getz to help them cope with their traumatic experience. Meanwhile, the rest of the NCIS: LA team investigates the murder of a former Navy Admiral and a controversial journalist aboard a private jet.”

Just to twist the metaphorical knife in even further, the promo below suggests that Eric Christian Olsen’s character is “falling apart,” and that to us means that it is going to be quite a while before he is capable of great decision-making and on-duty action again. For those of you who ship Deeks and Kensi, we don’t imagine that their relationship is going to be a sprint; even though there are feelings that are out in the open now, we imagine that it is going to be a little while before his head is on completely straight, and is capable of making important decisions.
