ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic’s next move

Based on what happened during the “Castle” season 6 premiere tonight, one thing is clear: We’re about to see one of the scariest situations that Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters have faced yet.

Castle is going to be fighting for his life thanks to the poison that was in the car he was forced into during the premiere, and he only has 24 hours to live. Beckett and her team are going to just about everything that they can in an effort to save him, but there is one problem with that: There are not any leads. No matter how you cut it, the prognosis is not good for Rick right now.

However, and as we said during our full review of the premiere here, the title of the show is “Castle.” It’s not “Beckett,” or “Daughter of Castle.” If Rick was to die of this, it would probably ruin the show for many and send angry people straight to ABC with pitchforks. Do you really think that is something they want to deal with? We think not. In the promo below, you can see Castle and Beckett’s mad scramble for the antidote, which includes just about everything that you would expect: Car chases, nefarious criminals, and also moments where it looks like they are not going to make it.

As for what is going on in New York during all of this, there is no guarantee that will even see any of the gang beyond a few scenes. Castle is hardly going to be able to travel, and the only communication we could see is if someone calls them. We’re sure they will be involved eventually, but not yet.
