‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: One final report from Juan Pablo Galavis’ first night

The first night for Juan Pablo Galavis as “The Bachelor” is now over, and by the time you’re reading this, filming is likely deep into the second episode. This means that your favorite former soccer player / single father is likely embarking on his first one-on-one date and preparing for some more crazy events as he starts to narrow down the field of who he wants to be with in the end. Personally, we’re just hoping for a nice mixture of people, and not just a massive army of model / actress types that are going to live off of appearances for the next year.

While you’re not going to get any literal spoilers from the show courtesy of the people in charge (and we’re hoping it remains that way), producer Robert Mills did tweet out recently this funny line about how the show taped:

“Other than one of the girls tragically dying from #JuanPabloFever, the first night of #Bachelor was an unqualified success!”

Here is a little bit of behind-the-scenes information for those curious about how these first episodes are filmed. It starts late enough so that it is nighttime in California all the way though, and these tend to go until the wee hours of the morning. It takes time, after all, to start to meet some of these people, but even with all of that, there is typically a couple of people every year who end up getting the shaft thanks to gigantic personalities taking up all of the time.
