Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight on HBO? Of course, we more than understand anyone who wants the series back after the House of the Dragon premiere. It has, after all, brought so much good stuff to the table this year already!

Now, give the overall length of the first episode of the Game of Thrones prequel, you could argue that it would make a certain measure of sense for the late-night comedy to be off the air for at least a little while. Is that going to happen tonight? Well, as it turns out, not so much — you are just going to be forced to wait a while for the episode to start. According to the network’s own listings, the plan right now is for Last Week Tonight to air starting at around 11:30 p.m. Eastern time. For those of you who watch after the fact, this is clearly not going to be an issue — you’ll still get your chance to check it out at some point.

As for what exactly the focus is going to be for the next episode, obviously there are a few different ways that things could go here. We would not be too shocked in the event we see some sort of larger discussion about either the World Cup or the Middle East, given that both of these are currently dominating headlines in one form or another.

So what about next week?

Well, the good news just keeps coming! Per some other recent headlines courtesy of the network, you are also going to have a chance to see the series back in seven more days. We know that a summer hiatus will eventually arrive, but we are rather pleased to not be at that point as of yet.
