Patience season 2 episode 3 spoilers: A world of magic?

Next week on PBS you are going to have a chance to dive into Patience season 2 episode 3 — what all can we say about it now?

Well, first and foremost, here is where we should note that this show is special, at least in part, by the various directions that they send their characters. Because there are a billion or so crime dramas out there with unique investigators front and center, you have to do almost everything in your power to stand out. That is something that we could be getting here as Patience ends up getting more into the world of magic. Is it going to be actual magic? Well, we do think that the series is going to be altogether supernatural. Yet, at the same time, we do think that they could be questioning quite a bit over the course of the hour, and is that not a part of the fun?

A businessman is shot in a packed boardroom. A dead magpie points the investigation into the world of magic, where Patience’s neurodivergent mind sees what others miss. Meanwhile, Patience traces her mother’s address and hears some shocking news.

In the end, we do tend to think that we’re going to get both a fascinating case and some interesting personal updates over the course of this, and isn’t that a big part of the fun with this show? We do think that there is something really appealing about the idea that you never know quite what is going to happen. Remember that there are eight episodes in the season and because of that, we do have a reasonable amount of story to go.
