‘Big Brother 15’ finale: Was Spencer Clawson fired? He explains union fight to keep job
While we know for sure that GinaMarie Zimmerman and Aaryn Gries both lost employment as a result of what happened on “Big Brother 15,” Spencer Clawson’s status has always been a little bit cloudier. While we have long assumed that Union Pacific wants him gone based on some public statements, they have not been fully able to do so based on what has been going on with his union.
Now, the latest bit of news coming out is that the union is still fighting to try and get him the chance to go back to work, regardless of whether or not anyone who watched him feels like he should. Speaking today on Entertainment Weekly radio (Sirius XM), Clawson explained a little bit as to what is going on, and why he would love to stay employed if he has an opportunity to do so:
“I believe from my understanding that the union is fighting to preserve my job, but at this time I understand that the railroad wants to keep some distance from me … I love my job, I’m really good at it, and I just hope that I get get back out to work and restore some normalcy here soon.”
Spencer continues to hold firm to his stance that he did not intentionally mean to offend anyone with some of the comments that he made inside of the game this year, and argued that it was all a misguided attempt at humor. Of course, whether or not you believe this is up to you, but you should be able to forget about it soon regardless. Spencer’s not going to be asked back to be on the show, and all he will become in the public eye is an answer to a trivia question about who was nominated the most times in a season.

Notwithstanding his vile racist, sexist comments- the railroad needs to protect the safety of it’s passengers and employees. Spencer has on numerous occasions spoke of his drug usage at work. That alone should demand immediate dismissal.

I thought Spencer was funny! People in this country need to be less sensitive to stuff!!! You can’t say anything anymore without someone crying!!!!

here’s one of Spencer’s more memorable comments……funny? Not so much IMO….
According to E! News’ story, Spencer Clawson said these things:
“I like to beat off to child porn.”
“I love it. Beating off to child porn is my favorite thing there is.”
“I love it when they’re around 3 or 4 years old. My favorite ones are when you can tell they’re in a basement.”

Yes, those comments are disgusting, but it is only fair to put in full context of his statements. He was joking and pretending to be another player in the house making those statements. He also pretended to be the other house guests making joking statements, at the same time. Still it was outrageous, but trying to be funny (pitiful) and he was not talking about himself, or insinuating that the player he was jokingly pretending to be, really would make statements like that. I’m tried of people not reporting things as they really happen, and twisting things that are a big deal in to an even bigger deal than they are, by leaving out parts of statements to further vilify someone or something.

Child porn is NOT funny. I do agree there was an overreaction when police went to his house to investigate him over the remarks but child porn is not something that should be joked about. Period. I didn’t watch the show this season but I knew the details. It was reported that he was imitating someone. I got the comments with their full context. Still disgusting.
