‘Tamra’s OC Wedding’ finale review: Tamra Barney’s big day finally comes to a close

As we’ve said for the past two weeks, the joy of “Tamra’s OC Wedding” comes via the actual wedding itself, and tonight’s episode to us was really the only one that mattered. When you know more or less how the story is going to come to a close, the journey quickly ends up becoming a little less exciting to watch.

But since tonight was the actual wedding, we enjoyed the conclusion for a number of reasons. For one, there was some tangible proof in here that given the important event, “The Real Housewives of Orange County” really can in fact get along. So why do they not try this more often? That is a mystery, but we think part of it comes via a little switch in their brains that lets them know when it is appropriate to try and grab airtime, and when it is best to sit back and let someone else have their day. Even Vicki Gunvalson, who spent much of this past season in various stages of misery, actually seemed to be enjoying her time most of today.

As for Tamra and Eddie Judge themselves, they seemed to genuinely have a lovely time. There were plenty of tears, heartfelt moments, and also of course excess. This is Bravo, so of course you are going to see the bride wear three different dresses within the span of one day.

Overall, we have to say that as far as wedding-themed reality shows go, “Tamra’s OC Wedding” at least brought a good bit of fun that we enjoyed. There was some drama, but it did not end up taking away in the end from what is the real allure of the show: Getting an opportunity to see the reality star tie the knot in front of her friends and family. We still don’t think that Tamra’s life is crazy enough for a permanent spin-off, but this was a rather nice little detour as far as those go.
