‘Bones’ season 9 premiere spoilers: A heartbreaking Booth / Brennan moment

When it comes to the “Bones” season 9 preview video below, we have a piece of advice before getting into it: Just remind yourself throughout that there is going to be a happy ending for Booth and Brennan in a matter of weeks courtesy of their wedding. If you don’t do this, then odds are the sneak peek video below is going to be a punch of depression to the face.

Basically, the story of this video is pretty clear: Brennan feels like Booth is lying about what he has been up to as of late, and she says that Angela agrees with her. This is where the trouble for David Boreanaz’s character arises. He knows that he is lying to her, but he is hardly in a position here where he can open up and be honest about it. If he says too much, then Pelant could come and hurt people that he loves. However, saying nothing continues to hurt himself and a woman who could have been his bride already.

Eventually, there will be a way this season where Brennan is able to start to piece together why she is being lied to here, and will realize that it is not out of Malice. Over the next three or four episodes, be on the lookout for a few key moments that will bring these two characters together … but also be on the lookout for more drama. Pelant still has to be dealt with, given that the couple’s happiness will always be in question so long as he is out there.
