‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Enter ‘How Your Mother Met Me’

Well, it feels as though we can write this one off as a possibility for a “How I Met Your Mother” spin-off: There is going to be an episode coming up about the road that the famed Mother took before finally meeting Ted, and having her life completely turned upside down (in a good way).

According to the show’s studio at 20th Century Fox TV, there will be an episode airing early next year entitled “How Your Mother Met Me,” which seems at least on theory to be based all around the journey that Cristin Milioti’s character took to get to where she ended up taking a train to Farhampton to presumably play at the wedding for Barney and Robin.

We’re sure that there will be some out there still hoping that this could be a backdoor pilot of sorts, given how many different characters could show up in this that are new to us as viewers. One person that we would love to see again here is Rachel Bilson, whose character of Cindy used to be both Ted’s girlfriend / student and the Mother’s roommate earlier on in the series’ run. She has since made some return visits, but is also extremely busy courtesy of her run on “Hart of Dixie.”

Finding out this title doesn’t really give too much away, especially since this is something that most of us assumed would be happening at some point.
