‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Stephen Amell on more ‘personal’ season; plus, new footage

Are you ready for another action-packed season of “Arrow“? Stephen Amell clearly is, and the new video below from the show is just another reminder that there really is quite a bit to look forward to. There is some new footage in here of Summer Glau, a masked woman stepping out to kick some butt, Roy Harper in his famous, slightly-less-menacing hood, and more action coming straight from the island.

Amell teases in the video that while there is going to be a feeling this year that everything is “bigger,” he also promised that the show is going to take on a little bit of a more personal tone courtesy of some of the characters getting to know each other better. Given that he says that mere seconds around a Felicity Smoak scene, we imagine that all of the Olicity shippers out there are going to become even more excited than they have been already.

The biggest mysteries going into this season are more or less a series of questions.

1. How will Oliver really keep those he loves save? – When it comes to Laurel, the plan here seems to simply be creating as much distance between the two of them as possible. If he stays away, she may not be in harm’s way.

2. Who are the major villains going to be? – We know already of the existence of the Suicide Squad, and we imagine that they are going to play a big part in everything that develops, but are they more deadly than Glau’s Isobel Rochev?

3. Will the Flash really be that awesome? – Ever since the casting of Grant Gustin was first announced, it is fair to say that reaction has been mixed, to put it lightly, but we have high hopes for this.
