‘Glee’ season 5: Dianna Agron tells Katie Couric about missing Cory Monteith

The latest -Dianna Agron, at least per all of the reports that are out there, is not going to be a part of the Cory Monteith tribute episode of “Glee.” However, that is not stopping her from opening up about her co-star (and one-time onscreen love interest) in some other ways.

Agron has a new movie coming out in “The Family,” which led to her giving an interview on Katie Couric’s daytime talk show this week. While we expected nothing less out of her, her response on the subject of missing the actor was both heartfelt and also tear-inducing from start to finish:

“It’s one of those things that still doesn’t seem real/ You just take out a new lease on life, and you realize that he’s smiling down on us … He was one of the most amazing people that I’ve ever met.”

You can see her start to get somewhat emotional when talking about Cory, and we imagine that this may be one of the last TV interviews where she chooses to speak on this subject. At a certain point, everyone will take an opportunity to move forward in their lives, and we imagine for most of the “Glee” cast that moment will come on Thursday, October 10, when the tribute episode airs for the first time on Fox. This will probably remain a difficult time until then, as some of Agron’s former co-stars all go out and do various interviews where they are asked to publicly discuss the life of someone that they were once very close to. (In Lea Michele’s case, she was of course involved in a long-term relationship with him.)

Take a look here if you want a first look at the “Glee” premiere on September 26, in the form of various photos featuring the actors.
