‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Abaddon, Sam, Dean, and death in latest promo

The latest promo for “Supernatural” season 9 is 30 seconds of pure awesome, mostly when you consider everything that is included in there. You have Sam looking very close to death while in a hospital bed, Dean forced to make a very important decision, and Abaddon acting as evil as ever while demanding that all angels with their “clipped wings” bow to her.

First of all, we have to ask the question: Is Abaddon now the new big bad on the show? If so, she’s come along way from having her various body parts in cement blocks last season. As the most-powerful demon out there, she of course has the capabilities to do some serious damage, especially now that Crowley has been neutralized to a certain extent following the events at the end of last year. She’s incredibly strong / incredibly evil, and we also have to figure that she has a serious ax to grind with the Winchesters at this point.

The interesting thing about this season is that overall, it feels like there is more going on straight from the onset than we have seen in recent years. Not only do you have the return of this demon, but fallen angels such as Castiel have their own story. Also, there is the return of Bobby to the world, Kevin still has a role to play, and the Men of Letters are going to be a larger role than ever before thanks to the new Batcave-of-sorts that awaits our leading men.

Also, Death is back! There are only so many shows that we can say this with, and be actually talking about a character.
