‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 premiere promo: Release the Kraken?

The latest -The best way that we can describe the premiere for “The Big Bang Theory” season 7 is pretty simple: If you loved “Clash of the Titans,” then you are probably going to cheer at the site of Leonard getting taken off of the boat by a giant creature with tentacles. (Also, we think that this is probably some sort of dream sequence.)

This new promo for the September 26 extravaganza really fails to provide much at all when it comes to actual details about this episode, and instead settles more on some random silly moments. We do at least like the sight of Leonard looking like the young version of the guy from the frozen fish commercials, and Sheldon being Sheldon as we get random images of dinosaurs to remind us about just how big this season really is.

We do very much expect this premiere to be huge, and while we would be surprised that it sets a record (mostly because there will be so much competition that night), it should serve as a quick reminder yet again of how it is the most-dominant network show on TV by a mile. As of late, only “The Walking Dead” and to a certain extent “Duck Dynasty” have come close to drawing the same sort of numbers on a regular basis.

As for how long Leonard is really going to stay at sea, be prepared for him to be back in California with his friends by the second episode. As entertaining as the idea may be, he’s far more interesting when he is around the other characters that we love.
