‘Arrow’ season 2: Stephen Amell reflects on intense Oliver Queen scene

More scoop -

In an effort to promote the second season of “Arrow,” the show’s stars have been taking part in a video series with one purpose in mind: Trying to showcase some of the individual highlights from the series’ run so far with a little bit of commentary attached. We can have a good bit of fun sitting around here and talking about our favorite moments (the entire finale comes to mind), but what about what some of the show’s cast members enjoyed filming?

In the latest video below, Stephen Amell talks about a sequence in episode 18 that was thrilling to do from a parkour perspective, and what made it perhaps even more thrilling was that it was a sequence done as Oliver Queen rather than the famous alter ego. Surprisingly, one of his favorite moments of the entire exchange may have just been the slide across the back of a taxicab. This entire sequence was also shot in a familiar neighborhood for him in Vancouver, not far from where he was staying at the time.

Oliver’s adventures this season will continue to see him taking part in some intense action sequences, but perhaps at times with some very different motivations in mind. The focus now is not going to be so much on being a “vigilante,” but instead an actual hero and someone that the city can depend on. There could be some more changes that come along with this, including a public shift past the name of “The Hood” that many criminals have used to describe him so far.

For those of you wanting to see actual footage of “Arrow” season 2, the promo at the link here should do the trick. The show shoots its way back onto television starting on Wednesday, October 8 on The CW.
