‘Basketball Wives’ season 5, episode 4 preview: Evelyn Lozada cries over Chad Johnson

So far on “Basketball Wives” season 5, Evelyn Lozada’s story has unsurprisingly taken center stage. It was a huge part of the cast member’s life, and not only that, but the arrest and domestic violence situation was something that also impacted VH1 and the bottom line. A show about their wedding went unaired, and for a time we were not even sure that she would even be back on the show again.

But could Evelyn really get back together with Chad Johnson after all of this? As painful as it may be for some of you out there to hear, this is the subject of the sneak peek below for Monday night’s episode. She explains that the two had a natural “friendship,” and it is that alone that makes her want to consider bringing him back into her life, regardless of whether or not it is sound judgment to do so.

Also in this preview, we find out that the word “womanist” is apparently a thing, and not only that, it was a part of argument as to why to listen to your own heart rather than what the media or feminists (which is the word that was really being hunted for here) say to her. Evelyn surprisingly claimed that were it not for all of the external factors, she would want to go back to him.

In the end, it’s pretty clear that Evelyn and Chad did not end up making the marriage work, but this preview shows that there was much more thought that went into decisions on her part than was previously clear though the tabloids.
