‘Dexter’ season 8: Michael C. Hall on life after series finale, more in ‘Daily Show’ interview

What's next? -Thanks to us sharing some of the preview videos for Sunday night’s “Dexter” a little bit earlier in the week, we’re going to be going down a different path in talking about what happens next.

In the video below, you can see a full interview that series star Michael C. Hall gave while on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” this week, and it touches on a variety of different topics related to the show. There is some talk about the bizarre sort of “melancholy” among the cast now that they don’t see each other on set anymore, but also how there is some relief to go on and do some other things. Since this is “The Daily Show,” Jon also had some fun with him about how in the “Kill Your Darlings” movie coming out soon, Hall’s character is dead. It’s a trope that he just can’t escape.

Overall, the video is fun, but not entirely insightful when it comes to getting to learn  anything about the final episodes of the show. Given that Stewart was out of the country for most of the summer filming his movie “Rosewater,” we have a hard time imagining that he kept up with summer TV programming in that time.

If you do want to see one of those sneak peeks that we referenced a little bit earlier in the article, just be sure to hit up the link here. We’ll also be back later on this weekend with a few more details as to what you can expect when “Dexter” arrives back on your TV screens Sunday night.
