‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Donal Logue on playing the determined Lee Toric
While we have heard various people tease the upcoming sixth season of “Sons of Anarchy” often over the past several weeks, Donal Logue is someone who has mostly stayed in the dark … until now. His character of Lee Toric is a driving force in the story of all of SAMCRO at this point, mostly because he is someone with the desire to take down the club in addition to having the skills necessary to do it.
So what makes him different than past “villains” on the show? One easy way to look at it is that while some other Big Bads had skills, they did not have the connections to the law that Toric does thanks to his past. He’s almost the best of both worlds, making him the worst thing possible for Jax Teller and the other members of the club.
Speaking to TV Fanatic, Logue does his best to detail some of what Lee’s plan is going to be:
“He’s giving it more thought, he’s taking a ping pong approach to how he’s going after them. He puts plans A, B, C, D, E and F all into motion. This is clearly a guy with five or six hooks on the line … There’s a level of desperation to Lee that makes him different and darker than my original take on him. The present day Lee Toric is not the man he was before and the death of his sister makes this different than anything he’s been involved in.”
It has been confirmed already that Logue is going to appear in the bulk of season 6, leaving some bad news for those whom he opposes: You’re not going to be getting rid of Toric anytime soon.
