“Glee” seems very much interested in telling you one thing in their first promo for the upcoming fifth season: All you need is love, and love is all you need. This Beatles tribute is so big that it will span two episodes, and hopefully also get you in a cheery mood after what has been a difficult summer.
In the video below (which is sadly restricted in certain locations), you can see all sorts of story scoop, including “Principal” Figgins working as a janitor, some wild costumes that would be very much approved by the Fab Four, and a brief shot of Lea Michele smiling as Rachel Berry. There is a great deal of Blaine in this clip, which comes as little surprise given that Darren Criss’ character is reportedly going to have an enormous role to play in the first part of the season.
Now, we know that there is going to be even more controversy over the fact that Cory Monteith’s Finn is not mentioned in this trailer, but we have to agree with it being the right move. Since the first two episodes are not about Finn’s death at all, it would make no sense at all for the series to exploit it by making their entire promotional campaign about it. We are sure that the story is going to come up more in the tribute episode that will air on October 10, and there will probably be more footage made available in the week before that. (This episode has been in production for much of the past few weeks.)
