Jimmy Fallon’s puppies predict NFL season opener (video)

Late Night with Jimmy FallonHere is a story that is almost sure to make you saw “aww” again and again, mostly for one reason: It involves puppies. Even if you could care less about football, you’ll at least love seeing these little guys battle it out to get some kibble.

Last night on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” Jimmy brought out the puppies for the sole purpose of trying to answer one question: Who is going to win the NFL season opener between the Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos? The rules of the game were simple, in that the bowl that has the larger amount of support from the dogs would be the winner.

While we debated about whether or not we would spoil the ending for you here, let’s be honest: We are talking about puppies here. This is hardly something that is really worth a giant spoiler tag. According to the puppies, the Broncos take down the defending champions tonight in Denver, which is a game that NBC is already heavily promoting. The network realizes just how valuable football is to their success, in addition to the other cross-promotional opportunities that it provides to many of their other shows. If even just a quarter of people who checked out football caught everything else that they carried regularly, the executives would be doing cartwheels all throughout the house. Fallon has also long been a promoter of the sport on his show, as this is not the first time that we have seen these puppies turn in an appearance.
