‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5 spoilers: Expect intensity for Sam and Deeks

If you have seen or read anything about “NCIS: Los Angeles” over the past several weeks, then you surely know one thing already about the September 24 premiere: Sam and Deeks are going to be in trouble. Even though you may assume that they are going to make it out of this pretty well alive and without any sort of problems long-term, that is not exactly the way that this is going to go.

Speaking to TVLine, show creator Shane Brennan did his best to tease what is going to be the end results for this Sam / Deeks story with the torture, and how it may not go exactly according to plan:

“Just when we think they’re about to be rescued, maybe they’re not. It gets pretty brutal for the guys.”

Brennan also teased that this season as a whole may be one of the most complicated for the show that we have seen yet, as much of the overall arc for the year has already been mapped out. There will be twists and turns, and a good bit of it will spring off of what happens in this premiere. To an extent, what we are talking here about is Deeks and Kensi’s relationship, but if you have followed the “NCIS” franchise over the years, then you also know that there is so much more going on beyond just romance. That tradition is going to continue moving into this season.
