‘The X Factor’ UK: Check out Cher Lloyd, Olly Murs lyric videos

The latest news -Ready for some more “X Factor” goodness today? How about some lyric videos featuring two of the show’s popular former contestants? Both of these acts have been a part of the modern-day British invasion in America, and for that reason, we are going to start things off here by talking about Olly Murs’ “Dance with Me Tonight” lyric video.

The idea of a video coming out for this song now is probably confusing for a number of reasons. For one, this song is two years old, and it was featured on Olly’s first album in the United Kingdom. However, it is featured on the same album here in America as his most-recent hit “Troublemaker.” We really just hope that Sony and Syco get all of this sorted out so that the next disc he puts out can really be just all of the same music on both coasts, just to make this easier for international fans to follow.

With all of this being said, “Dance with Me Tonight” is our favorite Olly song. It’s old-school, almost like an old doo-wop classic from the late 1950s, and is pretty infectious from start to finish.

Cher Lloyd’s “I Wish” – Meanwhile, Cher’s single is brand-new in both countries, and the themes of it actually seem rather similar to “Want U Back”: There’s some talk about insecurity and self-worth in here, along with wanting a guy and everything else that you would expect in a pop song from a girl Cher’s age.

The biggest issue that we have with the song is the same problem that we had with some of her tracks on the last album: There’s no need for the rap interlude. They rarely ever add anything to the song, and it always makes us wonder if the singer is singing towards the rapper, and vice-versa. T.I. is talented, but it just doesn’t feel necessary here.
