‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne
It’s been a quiet week or so when it comes to alumni from “The X Factor” USA, with one of the primary reasons for that being that Fifth Harmony is promoting and rehearsing while Emblem3 is currently off touring with Selena Gomez. (There’s nothing particularly fun about writing about the same set over and over again in different cities.)
However, we do at least have a fun update today when it comes to Carly Rose Sonenclar: The teen sensation from season 2 has just wrapped up in a new song! While she has not exactly dished a ton of details on this just yet, she confirmed the news in a post on her Twitter account while saying that she is “soooo excited” (precisely with that many Os) about it. Carly has already performed some original music over the course of the summer, and of course we’ll let you know what happens with this latest endeavor.
A new video from the UK – Just in case you did not stick around after tonight’s edition of “The X Factor” UK for “The Xtra Factor,” we had a pretty hilarious little video that was all about wasting the judges’ time with inane questions about things that nobody really cares about. Our favorite part of this was probably Gary Barlow refusing to answer almost all of these, though Sharon Osbourne saying continually-inappropriate things is also a highlight.
As for the lowlight? This video makes us miss Olly Murs already for his chemistry with Caroline Flack.

I think everything is going well. Until now, Carly worked with four
different groups of producers/writers. You don’t do this if something
wrong with label. I hope Carly will release first single this month
and maybe EP at the end of this year. If this does not happen then I
will be worry.

Worried that Simon may try to stifle her career. He has done it in the past. I hope his ill feelings to the parents won’t be her downfall.

yeah, it’s getting obvious already…no support. my guess the deal simon wants to make is too stifling for the sonenclars too agree to, consequence is what’s happening now…
she’s young tho, and very talented so i expect to hear bigger things from her eventually…

I know this has been said before but something really seems wrong with Carly’s career. I find it mind blowing that three acts from last season have cd’s coming out shortly while Carly is working 2nd rate amusement parks. Even though she is releasing “originals, what is the point? Is it her parents, Simon, the record companies, or a combination of all three? I can’t believe at this date Carly is being left in the dust.
