‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Juan Pablo Galavis, Chris Harrison joke about soccer dates
If there is one thing that “The Bachelor” franchise is probably known for at this point, it is being a little bit on the nose with some of the things that they plan. For example, almost every date that Ben Flajnik was on had him and his lucky lady drinking wine seemingly at some point. Meanwhile, Sean Lowe was basically thrust into as many shirtless situations as possible.
If there is one thing that Juan Pablo Galavis identifies himself with, outside of being a single father, it is soccer; therefore, it should not come as much of a surprise at all that he and Chris Harrison are already having a little bit of fun with the idea of doing a ton of soccer-themed dates over the course of the season.
Harrison started off the fun this weekend by joking in response to a question that if the show had its way, every single date on the new season would be soccer-based. Meanwhile, Juan Pablo responded with the following message:
“How many SOCCER dates around the WORLD should we organize @chrisbharrison?”
As for a prediction, allow us to say that there will probably be one or two actual soccer dates this season, though we’re sure it will work its way into the conversation on multiple occasions. Plus, they will probably put a female soccer player into the cast, just because that’s what they do. (Remember, there was a fellow pilot on Jake Pavelka’s season.)
As for why the back-and-forth between Juan Pablo and the show’s host right now is important, the simple answer to that is that it shows that there is a rapport there already. This is valuable, since Chris is a shoulder that our leading man can actually lean on during much of the process. He’s not going to have his family there, and after so many years of doing this, Chris has pretty much seen it all.
