‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ celebrates 20 years with Bill Murray … as Liberace

Late ShowTonight marks a big occasion for “The Late Show with David Letterman,” as the host celebrates 20 super-impressive years of being on the air on CBS. That is a long time for any late-night host to be on, and Dave has already established himself as probably one of the five most prolific hosts in the history of TV.

So how can someone really try to celebrate some of the achievements that Dave has pulled off? Really, the best thing that you can apparently do is just engage in a little bit of silly fun revolving around Bill Murray dressing up as Liberace, which you can see in all of its glory courtesy of the video below.

Bill has long been a staple of Letterman’s show, and with that in mind, it’s hardly much of a surprise to see that he was brought out for this grand occasion here. He was Dave’s first guest on “The Late Show” when it began, and he also helped him get his career off of the ground when he was working at “Late Night” in the very beginning over at NBC. The two have a great rapport together, and Bill is not exactly the easiest person to book for anything so it’s a total score.

Our personal favorite thing about the way in which Murray chooses to enter here? We actually believe that this is probably the way in which he actually enters every room on many social occasions. The man is quite the odd duck, and that is just putting it lightly.
