‘Suits’ season 3 spoilers: Michael Phelps swims in for cameo appearance

Suits -After all of the drama that has been going on with Ava as of late, and the on-going battle between Harvey and Stephen, don’t you think that some of the guys on “Suits” season 3 need to cool off a little … maybe by jumping into a pool? Well, if they decide to do so, hopefully Michael Phelps can show them the way.

Sources confirm that Phelps is going to be guest-starring in the upcoming winter premiere for season 3 as a client that ends up bringing some conflict between Scottie (returning guest star Abigail Spencer) and Harvey (Gabriel Macht). This casting is brought on mostly by Phelps himself; “Suits” is reportedly his favorite show on TV, so we’re sure that Aaron Korsh and the rest of the gang at USA was quick to sign him up as soon as they figured this out.

While “Suits” still has some story left to tell this summer, it will return come January for a series of episodes that should both continue the course established this year, but also go off on its own path somewhat. It is basically a mini-season surrounded by a larger season, though there is really not that much time available to do a significantly-long arc.

“Suits” is one of USA’s biggest success stories, and when you consider that Phelps is a pretty big-ticket guest who rarely makes guest appearances on any shows (and has also steered clear of “Dancing with the Stars” so far), you have to imagine that they have high hopes for this episode when this airs.

What do you think about Phelps’ diving in for this guest-starring spot on the show? Take a look here if you want to read more about the story for next week, and be sure to share your thoughts below!
