‘Dexter’ season 8, episode 10 preview: Dexter vs. Oliver Saxon, and more deadly situations

The truth is finally out there: Oliver Saxon is the Brain Surgeon, and this is going to create all sorts of terrible problems for Dexter Morgan leading up to the moment where he tries to take off from Miami once and for all.

But is this something that is really going to be an option for him? At the start of next week’s “Dexter” season 8 episode (titled “Goodbye, Miami”), it will at least seem like it is a situation that could be a real possibility for him. Saxon is going to make it very difficult to get away, mostly because he not only knows who Dexter is, he can cause mayhem to everyone that he loves. This means that everyone from Deb to Dr. Vogel to Hannah and even Harrison are all in danger of something terrible happening to them.

This episode could ultimately come down to being a debate in Dexter’s mind about two very important subjects: What he really wants to do for himself, and what he wants to do for others. If he continues to act selfishly, he could end up with a fairly high body count on his hands.

There are only three episodes left now until we are at the end of the road for this show, so if there is a moment for something even more horrific to happen than what we have seen before, now is the time for that to happen. Be afraid … and be prepared to be very sad.
