‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Hard times for Melissa Gorga, cast in Arizona
On Sunday night’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” episode, we had what can be best described as a series of awkward and at times unfortunate events, beginning with the unsurprising revelation that everyone still wanted to talk about the accusations fired in the direction of Melissa Gorga last week. Do you really think that this is going to be going away anytime soon? No. The ghost reared its head a few times over the course of this hour, and you have to assume that before you know it, this is also going to be a part of the reunion show a little later this year.
Seeing the trip to Arizona begin was really just awkward for a number of reasons.
1. Why would Teresa Giudice really go along with this? We understand that everyone is getting along now more than they were a few weeks ago, but we certainly would not travel with someone following the fights that she just had.
2. Why Arizona as a destination to begin with? We understand that there are some relaxing elements of being in the state, but if these ladies really wanted to get away from it all, wouldn’t it be better to travel somewhere that they would not be recognized nearly as often?
3. The entire scene featuring Kathy Wakile, her husband, and a medium was moving in a way to see Kathy reconnect with a part of her past, but it almost felt briefly like another show. It was just so disjointed to see this in the same episode that we had so much whining from other women, along with constantly reminders that there is almost nothing that will keep these people happy at the end of the day.
