‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: Kevin McKidd on next directorial effort

Will he stay ? -One of the benefits to being on a show like “Grey’s Anatomy” with such a large ensemble cast is that it gives you the opportunity to wear a variety of different hats. For Kevin McKidd, for example, this means that he does not have to spend every single episode of the show working within the realm of just an actor. He can also direct, which he has not only done many times in the past, but is getting ready to do again.

Specifically, McKidd tells The Huffington Post that the episode that he is taking on this year is going to be the eighth one this season, and one of the major story points in it will be a return of a character back to the show. This is all that the actor is saying about it for the time being:

“They say there’s a big build-up to a pretty amazing cliffhanger for the 12th episode before we take our hiatus. A key character comes back in Episode 8 that plays into the cliffhanger in Episode 12.”

The reason that there is such a major cliffhanger with this episode is that the show going to be broken up into separate seasons for the fall and the spring, just like its fellow Shonda Rhimes counterpart in “Scandal.” The reason for this is to simply allow there to be continuous episodes week to week, and no more confusion as to when there will be a repeat, and when a new episode will arrive on the scene.
