‘The X Factor’ UK notes: Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards’ confirmation; Cherly Cole’s tattoo

One week before the debut of “The X Factor” UK over on ITV, we have a few details to share on some very familiar faces from the show’s past. Without further ado with that in mind, let’s dive right in!

Celebratory messages from Perrie and Zayn – Ever since the news was announced earlier this week that Perrie Edwards of Little Mix and Zayn Malik of One Direction were engaged, Twitter has exploded. While there are always some outliers and some people who choose to go over-the-top for the mere purpose of stirring up as much drama as possible, we have to say that overall, most of the reactions have been pretty positive.

Now, we’ve finally also got some reactions that are separate from both Zayn and Perrie themselves.

Zayn (via his own Twitter) – “Thank you to everyone that has been so lovely about my engagement to my beautiful fiancé ! Big love z X.”

Perrie (via Little Mix’s Twitter, as she does not have a personal account) – “Iv also never felt so happy! :) Thank you everyone for being so kind and supportive! Im a lucky girl! xD I Love you all! Perrie <3″

Cheryl Cole’s tattoo – Now this is just a little bit shocking. Apparently, the show’s former judge is going for the tattoo version of a mullet; it’s definitely a party in the back, and you would never realize it was there upon seeing her walk into the room.

We’re not going to post the link here in the event that you really don’t want to see this much skin, but you can see the image here if you’re really interested in it. The tattoo was done by artist Nikko Hurtado over the course of several sessions, and we really just have one word to say to describe it: Ouch.
