‘Saturday Night Live’: Meet Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney, other possible cast members

Saturday Night Live LogoWhen we first heard the news that “Saturday Night Live” was circling two names to appear on the upcoming season, there was one question that immediately came to our mind: Only two? Given that we were losing Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader, Taran Killam, and eventually Seth Meyers during this upcoming season, and the possibility that Nasim Pedrad could also be out soon to work on a new comedy, we needed way more than two!

Well, we luckily have a couple more names to share that should make the cast a little more rounded-out should they end up landing the coveted roles as cast members on the NBC giant.

Beck Bennett – While best known for some AT&T commercials, he’s got a lot to offer. He’s a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, the famed comedy troupe that also may be offering up some other rumored cast members that you can read about here.

He seems poised to be the heir apparent to Sudeikis, a guy who does a hilarious straight-laced role and will handle the craziness surrounding him.

Kyle Mooney – This guy reminds us a little bit more of Andy Samberg than any of the departing cast members, and he seems poised to fill the role of “odd dude” on the show. The video is mostly just funny because he’s so odd, has a unique look, and is very self-deprecating. He’s done some CollegeHumor sketches, and actually appeared in a “Parks and Recreation” episode as “Keith.”

Hopefully, we’ll have an official announcement from NBC soon about the people joining the cast this coming season. In Lorne Michaels we trust? Definitely. His track record is not perfect, but he’s brought us some real comedy gifts over the past four decades.
